I am so glad that kitschy book-related gifts are so easy to find these days. When you and your mother are both huge book nerds, of course books are the first thing you reach for when it comes to gift ideas. But when your mother is a literature professor, she reads a hell of a lot, and when you live in a different state from her, you can't go on recon missions to her house to check out her bookshelf or snoop through her kindle to see what she might be missing. And, you know, when you're a book reviewer, you send her piles of books all year anyway. So when it comes to gift-giving holidays, it can be hard to come up with ideas.

Except the internet, thankfully, has my back. Book fanart, art made from literal books, book-inspired jewelry, perfumes inspired by favorite characters... I will never, ever run out of fun things to buy for my mom. The only problem is, well...

Now I want it all for myself. Whoops. I swear I have some self-control, if I could just remember where I put it...
